Malcolm Potter - Director
Temperature Monitering The innovative Kooltrak data temperature monitoring system was developed for the catering and licensed trade. Malcolm introduced clients to the many benefits and savings of this innovative system.
Firstly, as an effective Environmental Health tool providing permanent Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) records and thereby covering both "due care & diligence" and "risk assessment" procedures imperative to operate effectively in the busy catering environment.

In addition the Kooltrak is an excellent diagnostic tool to make vital energy savings and to reduce annual running costs. By utilising the computerised data the user is able to pre-empt costly breakdowns of refrigeration plant and the inevitable loss of stock.

As the cost of energy increased dramatically, Malcolm became aware the Kooltrak system was proving to be an even greater asset for his clients. Celsius Systems UK was established soon after the Kooltrak system was awarded runner up in the "New Innovation" section at the `Caterer & Hotel Keeper 2005` Excellence in Catering Equipment and Supplies sponsored by Brakes.

Adding the energy saving EndoCube completed the energy saving package to make the Kooltrak EndoCube system. By simply installing the ground-breaking EndoCube to the refrigeration unit's thermostat sensor energy cost can be further reduced dramatically by up to 30%, reducing wear and tear and ultimately reducing long term capital cost.

Celsius Systems UK Ltd supply, install and service throughout the UK and supply across Europe and Asia.

With over 37 years' of hands-on experience, in both retail and as a restaurateur Malcolm is well equipped to understand and solve the problems and frustrations encountered within the refrigeration industry.

"As with any mechanical equipment faults and problems inevitably occur. These can include the digital display not providing an accurate temperature reading, faulty controller, thermostat `set points` programmed too cold a temperature or a defrost cycle permanently on defrost!

There are many areas that can dramatically increase costs without the operator knowing anything is wrong. The data compiled by the Kooltrak system in a simple and effective format increases awareness, putting the operator in full control which has the added advantage of keeping operational costs in check and making significant energy savings".

In 1978 following the successful completion of a 3 year Business Studies course at the Wulfrun College in Wolverhampton Malcolm set up his first business venture renovating and opening a retail mini market in Exeter and developed the business to include the wholesale market. After eight years of successful trading Malcolm purchased a derelict, water logged cellar located in the heart of the city. Designing, developing and launching a new medieval themed restaurant Malcolm quickly gained the knowledge, skills and experience required for the future business that was to become Celsius Systems UK Ltd, incorporated in 2006, to succeed in a specialised market.

As a local employer in the catering industry, Malcolm was invited by a leading hotel and catering training company in Exeter to give advice on the set up of the new NVQ's in the region. During this period Malcolm also acted as a consultant to the catering and licensed trade with commercial kitchen design included within this role
